This airport is located in the agglomeration of Lyon , France and is better known as ‘The Airport Lyon Saint- Exupery' and was formerly known as Lyon Satolas Airport . This airport was named after a very famous French writer Antoine de saint Exupere, who was a native. This airport lies in Colombier-Saugnieu which is 13 miles east southeast of the city center of Lyon . This is a very important airport which links the Rhône-Alps region.
